Our Mission

The Institute for Accessible Science at Purdue University is funded by the NIH Director’s Pathfinder Award with a mission to accelerate institutional change with respect to inclusion of persons with disabilities in biomedical science careers through assistive technology development, student and educator support services and research.

What is IAShub?

This web site is an information repository for research, education and collaboration
in biomedical science.  It hosts various resources which will aid you in the pursuit of a biomedical science career.  These resources include:
Online Presentations,
Courses,
Learning Modules,
Teaching Materials, and more.
The information contained in this repository is derived from contributors in our
scientific community, and are used by visitors from all over the world.

Most importantly, accessibility of IAShub has been evaluated using WebAIM, Functional Accessibility Evaluator (FAE), and Alt508 Image Alt Text Checker. If you have any further questions or issues with the accessibility of IAShub, please contact us at ias@purdue.edu.

Explore our web site and see how you can use our infrastructure to further your own research and educational activities.  Create your own account.  It's free and it will give you access to the assistive technology tools IAShub offers; much of which you can access from your web browser, so not only can you learn about biomedical research activities, you can play an active role.  Become a contributor to further expand you involvement simply upload your own presentations and assistive technology tools for others to use and share.  Ask a question in our community forum, and let the community help you out.
