Abstract

This 47 minute video is from the Critical Thinking Assessment Test(CAT)webinar held on March 20, 2012. The CAT assesses a broad range of skills that are important components of critical thinking and problem-solving. The test questions are derived from real world situations. Most of the questions require short essay responses. The CAT instrument can be a model for developing authentic assessments and learning activities in individual disciplines. The National Science Foundation provided partial support for the development of CAT. The power point presentation that went along with the webinar is available as a pdf under the supporting documents tab.
