    Students were engaged during the lesson, and loved using the UV beads. It’s a wonderful lesson for the beginning of the year, and for teaching the students the engineer design process. The students also learned many science terms, and could apply their knowledge to ‘real life’ circumstances.

    My students enjoyed learning about the different types of UV light. They also liked writing an investigation task and implementing it, it was a world like activity that had personal meaning since UV light is something they encounter.
