  Dr. Capobianco is an Associate Professor of Science Education in the Departments of Curriculum and Instruction and Engineering Education (courtesy). She is a former award-winning science teacher from the state of Connecticut and graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (BS), Central Connecticut State University (MS) and the University of Massachusetts Amherst (EdD). She teaches an undergraduate science methods course of elementary education majors and graduate courses in teacher action research, gender and culture in science education.
