Rigging

There should be proper confirmation that the structure or building is able to support the suspended loads that has 4 Safety factor. All the overhead rigging needs to be kept secure from any type of motion in any direction. The counterweights that are used along with outrigger beams need to be composed of a strong material, and should be kept attached securely to the beam, so as to avoid displacement by accident.

Wire Rope and Hardware

Wire rope should be handled with care, and lubricated and cleaned as per the suspended scaffold safety instructions of the wire rope manufacturer. Attachments and wire ropes only need to be used as hoisting machine manufacturers specify. The wire rope should be sufficiently long, so as to offer access to the lowest landing possible. The wire rope must be uncoiled and coiled as per the instructions of the wire rope manufacturer, to be able to prevent damage kinks.

Power Supply

While using hanging scaffold systems, all the power cord connections and electrical power sources should be grounded. Circuit breakers should be used to protect them. The power cord connections have to be restrained in a proper way, so as to avoid them from getting separated.
