Description: Tucked inside you skull you carry a three-pound organ that some have called the most complex machine in the universe. Neuroscience research continues to unlock some of the mysteries of the magnificent human brain. This seminar will explore three questions that have important implications for how we learn and teach engineering:  Why is it misleading to talk about “the brain”?  How are memories formed?  What is the role of emotion in learning?
