The LASER PULSE Network comprises development researchers and development practitioners listed in a searchable database on this website (under development). Currently there are over 850 registered researchers from 22 countries (including the US), representing all sectors in the development milieu. This initial list of registrants reflects partners who are closely aligned with Purdue University’s areas of expertise and geographic partnerships, but we are now expanding our reach to include researchers and practitioners affiliated with the other consortium partners: Catholic Relief Services, Indiana University, Makerere University (Uganda), and the University of Notre Dame.
LASER PULSE is now registering development practitioners from around the world to represent NGOs and other field-level development organizations as a key component of the Network. We fully expect this Network to expand significantly in the coming year, with the ultimate goal for this platform to become an indispensable Community of Practice for all who are engaged in research-to-translation. We invite you and all other interested researchers or practitioners to get involved and join us, as well.
... and get involved in collaborative research for development (R4D) – and purposeful research translation – through a global network of universities, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. We focus on research-driven, practical solutions to critical development challenges in low- and middle-income countries by supporting the discovery and uptake of research-sourced, evidence-based solutions to development challenges spanning all USAID sectors and global geographic regions.
Register here to join the Long-Term Assistance and Services for Research (LASER) - Partner University-Led Solutions Engine (PULSE)
Registration should only take approximately 15 minutes. The information you provide will maximize the ability of LASER PULSE staff, and/or other researchers or development practitioners, to identify your skills and interests in searches of our database for the purpose of collaboration opportunities. We look forward to your participation in LASER PULSE in seeking research-driven solutions to global development challenges.
* Each proposal requires a collaborative partnership between a LASER PULSE network researcher and a development translation partner (NGO/private sector/local government), with the Principal Investigator (PI) being an academic researcher. LASER PULSE RFAs are expected to begin in Spring 2019; for additional details on our awards process, please click here.
