https://www.uninorte.edu.coThe conference is hosted by the LASER PULSE Program, a five-year program funded by USAID to support the discovery and incorporation of research-based solutions to development challenges. It brings together university researchers, development actors, government representatives, and the private sector, with the purpose of connecting, collaborating and innovating together.

The conference will include LASER consortium partners, and 50 strategic partner participants from among donors, including USAID Colombia and Washington DC, USAID Implementers (NGO's), University researchers with experience in the priority areas identified, Colombian Government entities responsible for creating the conditions that generate impact in the priority areas of USAID / Colombia (DNP, Colciencias, and others), and representatives of the private sector.

The objective of the conference is to identify key research questions for solutions to Colombia's development challenges, where data-based evidence can assist the continued programming of the USAID Mission in priority areas such as: (a) Integrated rural development, (b) Youth and (c) Response to Venezuelan migration.

Participants will contribute to shaping a call for the collaborative research proposals that offer solutions to the development challenges listed above.
