  9. Research Grant, Nigerian Conservation Foundation
    The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) with support from Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) offers research grants to Nigerian citizens wishing to undertake research work in fields related to nature conservation and sustainable livelihood. The grant shall be to support a PhD programme. This year’s theme is "Human-Wildlife Conflict".

  10. Call for Proposals for Small Grants Innovation Program, WWF-India
    To encourage young Indians to respond innovatively and independently to the conservation issues which affect the country. The grants will be used to fund research and initiatives which especially demonstrate innovation that is replicable, scalable and sustainable.
    Award: a one-time grant of up to INR 400,000 over a max. period of 2 years. Funds will be provided in a phased manner.

  11. Call for research concept notes, SANDEE (South Asia and HKH countries)
    For research projects on the economics of forest restoration: the reestablishment of forest cover in degraded or recently harvested forests (reforestation) or marginal or abandoned croplands and pastures (afforestation).
    Funding available: Grants are likely to be in the range of USD 20,000–30,000 over a two-year period. Larger grants are more likely if teams are multidisciplinary, involve two or more countries in the region, or focus on a transboundary issue.

    This program aims to protect and enhance land that is culturally significant to Aboriginal people. It seeks to provide support to Local Aboriginal Land Councils (LALCs) to manage illegal dumping on private land owned by Aboriginal communities.

  20. Postdoctoral Associate, Sustainable Supply Chains, MIT
    Unique position working with institutional sustainability initiatives, splitting time between MIT CTL, Cambridge, MA, and Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation, Shah Alam, Malaysia. Primary focus: Examining the oil palm supply chain and working with previously collected qualitative and quantitative data.  Will be primarily responsible for conducting analysis of existing data sets, assisting with and taking leadership in writing manuscripts, meeting with project sponsors and stakeholders, and assisting the senior research staff in all matters related to the research.  Will also support center activities as appropriate, including presenting results and findings to various audiences. 
  21. Tech Fellowship, Global Forest Watch
    Seeking forest protection advocates who are passionate about using technology for forest monitoring from a variety of sectors including: science, journalism, law enforcement, advocacy and conservation. The Fellowship program is one-year long and offers opportunities for skill-building, networking and mentorship. The program includes participation in a four-day tech camp and the 2019 GFW Summit in Washington, D.C. Fellows will receive a stipend and access to funds for related activities.
    Deadline: The call for applications opens on February 15, 2019 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The Fellowship will run from June 2019 through May 2020.
