  • Biography
    Dr. Trinh Bao-Son has 20-year experience in the fields of environmental management, focusing on water quality and the impacts of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) on ecological system. He completed his 4-year Ph.D. research program at the University of East Anglia (UEA), UK, with the thesis studying fate and biodegradation of herbicides in river water. Furthermore, Dr. Trinh spent 2-year experience as an Associate Research at the UEA and the University of Newcastle, UK, for investigating remediation of POPs in soil and biochars. Dr. Trinh’s knowledge in hydrology has been strengthened while he worked as a Water Utilization Specialist for the Mekong River Commission Secretariat, Laos. Recently, Dr. Trinh has focused on the areas of microplastics and POPs pollution in aquatic environment.
