%0 Presentation %D 2018 %T Using R to Create Interactive Data Maps %A Bessenbacher, Ann %U https://stemedhub.org/resources/4213 %8 November %X Many software packages allow you to import, export, and analyze your data, but they are often expensive. Why use one of these, when you can use R instead? You can download and install R for free and many packages are available. You can also use R to create interactive data map visualizations. During this session participants will learn what R packages and codes are needed to quickly create interactive maps that allow navigation in order to obtain a greater level of information than is possible in a simple image. Participants will also learn different techniques for manipulating their data in R to save time and make it easy to visualize. Participants will leave this session with code they can plug and play, use with their own datasets, and easily customize for their own projects. %+ Evaluation and Learning Research Center, Purdue Universtiy
